Renay Washington – Meritorious Service

Renay has been the secretary/treasurer of the Charles Peete League at AMF Norfolk Lanes for 22 years. Not only does she collect fees from approximately 300 bowlers, verify the accuracy of weekly bowling envelopes, pay the center its weekly fees, and deposit league fees in the bank, but she also bowls!

Her night is not over once she’s home from the league. She manually inputs bowling scores into her home computer, verifies the accuracy, and uploads information to the system in the sky. League bowlers are amazed when checking their email the next day to find the latest standings have already been updated. Renay also attends league meetings, documents changes to existing by-laws, and updates bowlers of local and national rule changes.
